Currently acting as VP of Finance (since July 2018) in an IT multinational group, responsible for Orders-to-Cash (Quotes/Orders, Invoices and Collection) and Treasury functions of 70+ companies, leading a global team of 20 people.

Acted as Chief Operating Officer (October 2016 – May 2018) in a Brazilian Law Firm specialized in Insolvency, responsible for all back-office. Main responsibilities and accomplishments:
• Reported to the Executive Committee, responsible for the Operations area, including Administration, Finance, IT, HR, Communication & Business Development, Supply Chain, Facilities and Accounting BPO, leading a team of 65 people in three offices (SP, RJ and Brasilia).
• Automated month-end closing routines, generating R$45k in accounting fees savings.
• Implemented P&P’s, with improvement of controls and R$300k of operating cost savings.
• Recovered R$850k in legal fees through direct negotiation with delinquent customers.
• Successfully negotiated third-party services and lease contracts, leading to R$600k cost savings.
• Implemented SMART goals for team performance assessment.

• Reported to the CFO LATAM, leading the financial sector (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Credit & Collection, FP&A and Payroll/Personnel) in Brazil, with a team of 30 people.
• Implemented tax software MasterSAF and KTAX.
• Tax support to business areas (Operations, Commercial and Marketing), generating savings of R$1,5M.
• Reduced DSO by 18%, recovering R$48M and improving the collection process through outsourcing.

• Reported to the Global Financial Operations Director, responsible for Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru, with a team of 50+ people. Counselor of HSBC Pension Fund, representing Harsco employees’ pension fund.
• Management of Back Office activities, ensuring the quality of Month-end closings and internal controls/SOX/SSAS16.
• Led the offshoring of activities to the Global SSC in India (T&E reports, FA and reconciliation processes).
• Negotiated credit lines of R$2M with international banks to support the Argentinean operation.
• Prepared and reviewed customers’ credit memos to be submitted to HQ for approval.
• Implemented IFRS and SPEDs, together with MasterSAF DW tool implementation.
• Centralized AP and Fiscal Receipts at Rio de Janeiro HQ and reduced Month-end close by one day using KAIZEN methodology.
• Led the implementation of Oracle EBS R12 in Brazil, identifying the local features for the rollout, reviewing processes and potential outsourcing/offshoring of non-value-added activities.
