Experience
• Since Dec-2017 –working with ALSTOM Transport, Bangalore on Engineering Service activities:
o Responsible for implementation of wayside monitoring systems such as Axlebox bearing temperature, Hot Wheel Detection, bogie dynamics, wheel impact loading, etc.
Equipment integration, installation, Data management, Data transfer and reporting alerts/ messages to OCC / CMMI (Maximo) to create jobcards
o Design and execution of Automated Condition measurement systems for RS such as panto carbon, brakepad wear, wheel profile and integration check ,etc., for equipment health assessment, input for maintenance activity planning
o Responsible for providing technical solutions to the existing Metro customers by extending technical analysis, trouble shooting and spare parts supply.
o Developed and localised the Depot Test Equipment (off-train) for Pantograph, HVAC, TM, Driving gear, VCB, etc. to meet Rolling stock Contract requirement
o Supporting tender and ILS team on technical matters on account RS Maintenance.
o Developing special tools and test benches for Overhauling and repair activities
o Leading a team of designers on Design and engineering activities
o Managing warranty & T&C team on Metro depots
o Communication with Metro Customers and Supporting customers as EXPERT in Company’s Global Engineering Community
o Project Manager: (Customer/ location: Singapore Rail Engineering, Singapore)-from Dec-2015 to Jul-2016
Managing and responsible for complete Integration of C651 –Siemens train set for Singapore Metro Rail (SMRT) as part of Mid Life Refurbishment project from analysing customer requirements to integration of affected subsystems. The activities include system engineering, integration, vendor co-ordination, test specifications, production support, etc., for areas: underframe, propulsion system, VAC, Doors, Lighting, APS, etc.
Major activities are as follows:
o Onsite Co-ordinator/ SME: (Customer/Location: Hyundai Rotem, Korea) From Dec 2013 to Jul 2015
Responsible for execution of Denver Metro, IZMIR & Cairo Metro project for preparing technical maintenance manual, overhauling and parts list.
Worked on the system integration part of pantograph, traction power equipment, auxiliary power unit, battery & charging units, Cab control equipment in a metro design project for Hyundai Rotem Cars.
o Senior Electrical Design Engineer: (Customer/Location: UGL Rail & GE Transportation, Australia) From Sept 2011 to Aug 2013
Responsible for preparing concept design thru final design for a new Diesel Electric Locomotive for areas : lighting system, low voltage system (Battery & Battery Charger), underframe cable layout and duct design using CATIA V5 EWB including device selection, protection, cable sizing, cable segregation & layout, fill area calculations for cable duct, and device mounting arrangements, etc.
o Project Leader: Supported Thales on mechanical & electrical design for installing CBTC on-board equipment on SMRT cars.
o Team Lead: Developed electrical circuits, physical layout diagrams, cable schedule, etc. in AutoCAD and Training manuals for KHI Train/PATH metro, USA.
o Senior Design Engineer: Responsible for developing Technical Maintenance Manuals, Operator Manual and Spare Parts Catalogues for CRH5 trainset for Alstom, Italy.
o Section Engineer (Electric Loco Shed, Vijayawada)
Responsible for maintenance of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment that includes preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, trouble shooting and overhauling on electric locomotives and passenger cars.
Testing and commissioning of locomotive and passenger cars
Responsible for maintenance Depot with equipment and stocks management
Involved in major modification works on locomotives such as traction motors arrangement for 2 Series- 3 Parallel to 6 parallel, vacuum to Dual pipe air brake system, etc.
o Senior Instructor-Rolling stock (Electric Traction Training Centre, Vijayawada)
Responsible for imparting class room and practical training to RS personnel-Operating and Maintenance staff- as per the Railway board training modules.
Co-ordinating with operation and Maintenance departments and collecting online failure, safety related aspects-passing on signal, bypassing/ mech locking of relays, punctuality lost cases, etc., on daily basis
Planning and developing training infrastructure on safety training & training aids
Developing course content and updating regularly to match latest technologies including failure resolution
Scheduling annual training calendar and monitoring
Organising safety seminars, Tech talks, Learning byte and knowledge tests
Responsible for loco simulator maintenance and availability for trainees
