CEO of Ionnica Sep 2015 – Present
- Ionnica is an industrial start-up focused on waste effluents treatment;
- Managed a team of 40 people across HR, commercial and plant workers;
- Shaped and defined the strategic vision, strategic plan and the commercial plan;
- Redesigned the technological roadmap that identified and improved performance of the machine;
- Defined and negotiated contracts with potential clients;
- Developed key scientific partnerships.
Director of SOS Exames Oct 2017 – Ap 2018
- SOS Exames is a testing and diagnostics start-up;
- Increased revenue by 25% within first 3 months in role and managed a total of 15 people;
- Structured and tested the investment thesis and developed the strategic plan;
- Defined the expansion plan of blood testing by location for new retail testing sites;
- Improved cost structure by developing key parnerships with suppliers and, by outsourcing economically inviable to lower cost laboratories;
- Created and implemented employee training program to increase patient satisfaction which resulted in sales conversion (10 p.p. increase);
- Recruited and trained the commercial team (retail and B2B).
Private Equity Director
- Deployed as Business Development Director at AC Café (a portfolio company in Fund IV)
- Grew revenues by 7% through organic and M&A initiatives;
- Developed the company’s Go-to-Market strategy and led the evaluation and integration of the M&A targets;
- Developed and launched the coffee-capsules product line and redesigned and launched two existing product presentations to better align them to the target market needs;
- Refined the strategic plan and initiatives that shape the next 2-3 years investment case plan.
- Started as Manager and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2011;
- Managed the post-merger integration for the structure, coordination & quantification/capture of synergies and developed the 5 year Strategic Plan for the biggest furniture and electro-electronics retailer in Brazil;
- Led a multi-disciplinary team that mapped diverse revenue and cost-related initiatives with an aim to prepare one of the largest health plan companies in Brazil for due-diligence. Successfully generated $100 million in profits;
- Developed the operational model for a global Pharma company in the Venezuelan market of rare diseases;
- Redesigned the organisational structure and operational model for a global leading beverage company;
- Developed the future 3-year Commercial Model for one of the biggest e-retailers in Brazil;
- Participated in the creation, validation & facilitation of several Strategic Planning projects in the CG&S, retail and Pharma industries;
- Identified, quantified and developed the implementation plan for operational improvement initiatives for a newly established telecommunications business in Brazil and largest brewery company in the world;
- Developed a service model aimed to provide maintenance, service and analytics to a variety of assets located in beverages point-of-consumption (POC);
- Developed the entry-market strategy for a global chemical company interested in opening a specialty tires business operation in Brazil.
- Started as a Consultant and was promoted to Manager in January 2008;
- Designed and implemented a set of new customer-centric commercial models for the Oncology division of a leading pharmaceutical company, resulting in a implementation across the sales organisation;
- Led the deployment of multiple engagements aimed to diagnose and enhance global sales force effectiveness for different top pharmaceutical companies in the US and Europe;
- Designed and executed hypothesis-based qualitative and quantitative research for pharmaceutical field teams to identify and define success principles used in hiring, training and coaching;
- Conducted an opportunity assessment analysis for a leading healthcare software provider and identified, evaluated and assessed product options incorporated into their IPO prospectus and 5 year business plan;
- Developed the organisational design of management and governance model for the Latin American subsidiaries of a global mid-sized pharmaceutical company;
- Led and executed the development of several sales force structure and field resource requirements for in-line and new product launches and frequently engaged in the sales force deployment.
